Mariska.com was created by Emmy award winning actress Mariska Hargitay on the NBC series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, as a fan site & safe haven information center for sexually abused teens.
The Joyful Heart Foundation
The Joyful Heart Foundation (JHF) is committed to the total healing & recovery of survivors of sexual assault by introducing unique programs centered on dolphin-human interaction in the wild as a way of stimulating a survivors healing journey. JHF was founded by Mariska Hargitay in 2002 & is a registered non-for-profit 501 (c3) tax-exempt organization.

We designed a positive & nurturing online environment for mariska.com with her brand image, logo, character, animation, interactive content & merchandise. Mariska's website had 36,000 unique visitors in the first week, 6 times the amount before the launch. There were 483,000 page views in the first week after the launch, up from just 7,000 the week before.

We created the JHF website to expand upon the previously created mariska.com brand, with a stand alone look & feel. The goal was to create a soothing environment, & loads of fan mail expresses we have succeeded! The JHF has teamed up with Philosphy, using Romeo and Julie artwork, in the creation of the limited edition "Joyful Heart" shower gel ($20), which will be sold on www.philosophy.com. 100% percent of the proceeds will go directly to support JHF's retreat programs.
